Our History
The Mexican Hydrogen Society (SMH) was founded in 1999 by an enthusiastic group of researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs with the aim of promoting research, development, human resources training, as well as establishing safety standards for the use of hydrogen as clean energy. Moreover, it serves as a bridge between the scientific community, industry, and the government for the promotion and dissemination of Hydrogen Technologies and for engaging in projects related to hydrogen and its fuel cell applications.

Objective
To promote research, development, and innovation in hydrogen technologies by providing specialized knowledge and infrastructure to the academic, industrial, and governmental sectors. We aim to integrate synergies for the creation of wealth and environmental conservation through sustainable energy systems, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for the Mexican society.

Mission
To conduct research, innovation, and development activities in hydrogen technologies that contribute to the sustainable development of the national energy sector for the benefit of our country. We provide advisory and training services to social, academic, and productive sectors, both public and private. Additionally, we aim to contribute to the training of specialized human resources and disseminate knowledge in scientific, technological, industrial, and outreach forums.

Vision
To be an internationally renowned academic body, leading in research, development, and innovation, establishing itself as a national benchmark in hydrogen technologies. We aim to contribute to solve issues related to the field of energy, thereby promoting the self-sufficiency and energy sustainability of our country: Mexico.

Hydrogen as an Energy Disruptor

Today, there is a significant opportunity for the growth of alternative energies, particularly hydrogen technologies, in Mexico. The research conducted over the years in our country is now in a position to be applied to various energy needs of the nation. Energy serves as the engine for the economic and social development of the world. Therefore, the continuous supply of all forms of energy is of crucial importance to all nations, and Mexico is no exception. Hydrogen has become one of the most promising alternative energy carriers in the country, aiming to decentralize the current energy production from petroleum.
